Adobe to Get New CEO - Anil Chakravarthy to Replace Shantanu Narayen

Adobe announced that Anil Chakravarthy will become the company's new president and CEO, replacing Adobe's longtime CEO, Shantanu Narayen, in that role.
Chakravarthy, who currently leads Adobe's Customer Experience Orchestration division and global field operations, will take on the position on December 1 and will also join the company's board of directors.
Narayen will move into the position of executive chairman and will work alongside Chakravarthy during the transition period.
The leadership change comes at a time when Adobe is seeking to embed artificial intelligence more deeply into its creative, productivity, and customer experience products. Chakravarthy stated that his main focus will be on the new era of "agentic software."
Why it matters: Adobe is competing in a rapidly changing software market against companies where AI is quickly transforming how customers create and manage content. Investors will be watching whether the new leadership can turn Adobe's broad customer base and AI capabilities into faster growth.
