Coca-Cola plans to invest $10 billion in infrastructure in the US

Coca-Cola plans to invest $10 billion in US infrastructure development between 2026 and 2030. The company considers the US one of its most important markets, and the investments will cover various projects across the country.

According to Coca-Cola, the planned spending includes projects already announced in California, Colorado, Alabama, New York, and other states.

The company's President and Chief Financial Officer, John Murphy, told Fortune that the $10 billion is not solely Coca-Cola's own capital expenditure but represents total system-wide investment. It also includes spending carried out by the company's bottling partners. Murphy holds the positions of President and CFO at Coca-Cola.

The company said in July that it expects capital expenditures of approximately $2.2 billion in fiscal year 2026. According to Coca-Cola, around 25% of these investments relate to bottling companies owned by the company, while the remainder is primarily growth-oriented and involves expanding production capacity.

According to independent research commissioned by Coca-Cola, the company's US system contributed $85 billion to US GDP in a single year and supported nearly 1 million jobs.

The "Coca-Cola system" encompasses both the company itself and its bottling partners. According to the company, this system purchased approximately $37 billion worth of products and services from suppliers in the US.

In addition, Coca-Cola stated that, together with the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, it contributed $177 million to community programs.

The research published by the company is the second study of its kind for Coca-Cola. The first report was published in September 2023.
