OpenAI's Corporate Business Grew by 32% in July

OpenAI's corporate segment grew 32% in July compared to the previous month, the company's Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar said at a Goldman Sachs conference, according to CNBC.
According to Friar, while OpenAI's consumer business is also growing steadily, the corporate segment is seeing particularly rapid growth.
"While the consumer side is growing at a very good pace, the enterprise business is growing especially fast," Friar said.
The company's annualized run rate revenue grew by about 20% from June to July. This indicates that demand for OpenAI's products is rising not only among individual users but also among companies and organizations.
The rapid expansion of the corporate segment is particularly important for OpenAI's business strategy. The company is increasingly working to integrate AI tools into businesses' everyday workflows — including coding, data analysis, automation, and boosting employee productivity.
Growing corporate demand is also intensifying competition in the AI market, where OpenAI faces tech companies such as Microsoft, Google, and Anthropic. The rapid rollout of AI services to businesses has become one of the key revenue growth opportunities for these companies.
Sustaining this growth will be especially important for OpenAI, as the company is investing billions of dollars in developing AI models and computing infrastructure. Growth in corporate customers could become one of the key sources of funding for these massive expenses.
