AerCap Shares Rise on Strong Quarterly Results and Improved Outlook

AerCap Holdings NV shares rose 3.5% in premarket trading after the company reported second quarter 2026 financial results that exceeded market expectations.

The company's adjusted earnings per share (EPS) came in at $5.14, significantly surpassing analysts' estimates of approximately $4.00. Quarterly revenue reached $2.17 billion, compared to market expectations of $2.06 billion.

AerCap also upgraded its 2026 full-year adjusted EPS guidance and now expects approximately $16.80 per share. According to the company, this reflects sustained demand for commercial aircraft and effective capital management.

In the 90 days prior to the earnings announcement, seven analysts raised their earnings forecasts for the company, while none lowered them. Additionally, in recent weeks Truist, TD Cowen, and Barclays raised their price targets on AerCap shares, further reinforcing positive sentiment.

Broader market sentiment remains relatively cautious as investors await the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates. Despite this, AerCap's strong financial results and upgraded guidance proved sufficient to drive sharp gains in the company's shares in premarket trading.
