Goldman Sachs: Investors Will Focus on Several Key Issues Regarding Nvidia's Results

According to Goldman Sachs' assessment, when Nvidia publishes its quarterly report on August 26, investors' main attention will be focused on the company's $500 billion AI infrastructure financing platform, the expansion of Rubin chip production, and margins.
Goldman Sachs analyst James Schneider maintained a "Buy" rating on Nvidia and a $285 price target. In his assessment, the company may publish better-than-expected results, which will be supported by strong demand for GPUs and limited supply. However, the analyst notes that expectations for the stock are already high — Nvidia's shares have grown by approximately 12% over the past two weeks.
One of the main issues will be Nvidia's new $500 billion financing platform, which should help develop AI infrastructure together with partners. Investors want to understand how large Nvidia's financial commitment will be and what impact this will have on share buybacks and dividends.
Also important will be the production pace of Rubin's new generation products in the second half of 2026 and in 2027, particularly among new types of customers — AI laboratories, neocloud companies, and sovereign organizations.
Goldman Sachs will also monitor Nvidia's overall gross margin, which has remained above 75% over the past two quarters, despite the rising cost of components, particularly HBM memory.
Another important direction will be demand for CPUs with the development of agentic AI. Nvidia's CPU-based server deliveries are expected to begin in the second half of the year.
