Google Postpones Gemini 3.5 Pro Release

Google's new artificial intelligence model, Gemini 3.5 Pro, will not be released on schedule. According to Bloomberg, the company has postponed its launch by several months because the model failed to achieve the desired results.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai had planned to present the model in June, but Gemini 3.5 Pro did not meet the company's expectations, particularly in writing software code. The model's training materials were updated at the end of June, but the results have not improved enough to make its release possible.
The delay has caused dissatisfaction at Google, as competing companies OpenAI and Anthropic have already introduced more powerful models. Following the spread of this information, Alphabet's stock price fell by nearly 3-4%.
According to a Google representative, Gemini 3.5 Pro testing continues with partner organizations and the U.S. government. Meanwhile, OpenAI has already unveiled GPT-5.6, and Anthropic has resumed operations of its leading models following the addition of new security measures.
