What volume of oil is actually leaving the Persian Gulf?

Different data is circulating regarding oil transit through the Strait of Hormuz. According to a statement by U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright, an average of 9 million barrels of oil per day passes through the strait, while on August 8, the volume exported from the Persian Gulf exceeded 20 million barrels.
According to Kpler data, approximately 4 million barrels of oil per day are transported directly through the Strait of Hormuz. An additional up to 7 million barrels are shipped from the region via pipelines and alternative routes.
One possible reason for the discrepancy may be that many tankers disable their location transmitters to avoid attacks and temporarily disappear from monitoring systems.
The issue is particularly significant because since the start of the war, global oil reserves have decreased by 1.5-1.9 billion barrels. The more oil that passes through the region, the slower existing reserves decline.
