SpaceX's Market Valuation Grows to $1.77 Trillion

SpaceX's Historic IPO Could Set a Capital Market Record
SpaceX's initial public offering may prove record-breaking for the capital markets. The company plans to achieve a valuation of $1.77 trillion during its public share offering and raise $75 billion in capital.
Despite SpaceX's dominant position in space flights and global internet (Starlink), some experts consider this valuation excessive. For example, according to Morningstar analysts' forecasts, the company's actual intrinsic value is $780 billion, which is less than half of Elon Musk's target figure.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming the primary driver of SpaceX's future strategy. According to the company's plans, spending in the AI direction is growing sharply: in the first quarter of 2026 alone, $7.7 billion was spent in this sector. According to projections, by 2031, the company's total capital expenditures will reach $732 billion, of which $666 billion will be directly focused on artificial intelligence.
Elon Musk's goal is to make SpaceX the world's largest AI technology company by 2031. Considering that the potential market for artificial intelligence is valued at $26.5 trillion, SpaceX's market capitalization by 2031 could exceed $17 trillion. However, turning such ambitious projections into reality depends on whether the company will be able to secure the necessary financial resources and fully execute its ambitious spending plan.
