Joshua Berry, Founder of Capital Factory, Dies in Texas Aviation Disaster

A business jet crashed in Texas, killing Joshua Berry, the CEO and founder of the well-known venture capital company, Capital Factory. The incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 22:00 local time on a highway near the city of Laredo.
The business jet, which carried six people on board, was flying from Mexico to Austin. According to information released by police, Joshua Berry was the only fatality resulting from the incident.
Joshua Berry founded Capital Factory in 2009. The organization combines a venture capital firm, a startup accelerator, and a coworking space. Under his leadership, the company made investments in hundreds of technology enterprises specializing in defense, aerospace, robotics, and biotechnology sectors.
The company's portfolio includes well-known brands such as WP Engine, Apptronik, and Firefly Aerospace.
Additionally, Capital Factory actively collaborates with the U.S. Department of Defense and various military technology programs. The company's president, Brian Chambers, noted that despite the tremendous loss, the organization will continue its operations in full and remains committed to the mission established by Berry.
