# Starlink Internet to Be Activated on Wizz Air Aircraft Wizz Air is launching Starlink internet connectivity on its aircraft. This service will provide passengers with high-speed wireless internet access during flights, enabling them to stay connected while traveling.

Wizz Air Plans to Offer Starlink Satellite Internet to Passengers. The service will be available across the airline's entire fleet starting in 2027.
Wizz Air will become the first European low-cost airline to introduce high-speed Starlink internet on board. The financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed, but this move is significant for SpaceX as the company prepares for its public listing.
Wizz Air's competitors are currently avoiding implementing this service. Ryanair and EasyJet argue that adding in-flight internet comes with substantial costs and increases aircraft weight, which impacts fuel consumption. According to Ryanair's calculations, a similar service would cost the company approximately $250 million annually.
Starlink's internet is already used by several major airlines, including American Airlines, United, Southwest, Singapore Airlines, and Emirates. Wizz Air, meanwhile, expects to complete the 2026 financial year with positive results.
