Amazon Prepares for Global Internet Service Launch

Amazon plans to launch global internet service this year and has deployed another group of satellites into orbit for this purpose.

On Thursday, from the Cape Canaveral Space Station in Florida, a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket launched 29 Amazon satellites into orbit. Following this, the company now has more than 390 satellites deployed in space.

According to a representative of Amazon Leo, this number is sufficient for the company to begin initial internet service this year.

The project aims to deliver high-speed internet to various regions around the world. In this direction, Amazon will compete with SpaceX's Starlink.

At this stage, most of the launches are carried out with Atlas V rockets, though in the future Amazon plans to use ULA's new Vulcan as well. The Vulcan has experienced technical setbacks and delays, but the company continues to work on the project.
