Apple and Intel Agreed to Joint Chip Production in the US - Intel's Stock Rose

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Apple has reached an agreement with Intel whereby the companies will collaborate on chip design and manufacturing in the United States.

Trump did not provide details, but noted that the initiative is part of his administration's broader strategy aimed at returning semiconductor manufacturing to the U.S. Following the announcement, Intel's stock rose more than 8% in pre-market trading.

The president also emphasized Intel's collaborations with other technology companies, including Nvidia and Elon Musk's TerraFab project, noting that they serve to strengthen the nation's technological independence.

According to media reports, a preliminary agreement between Apple and Intel on joint chip development was reached as early as the beginning of May. The collaboration could prove to be a significant step for Intel, which in recent years has fallen behind technological competitors—particularly TSMC and Samsung Electronics—in advanced chip manufacturing.

Trump's administration views Intel as the primary beneficiary of a domestic chip manufacturing revival and is actively working to strengthen the company's position in the American technology industry.
