# Apple Introduces Updated Siri: Google's Technology and New Capabilities

Apple has introduced a new version of Siri, which significantly expands the voice assistant's functionality. The updated system will help users search for information within applications and complete everyday tasks.
The new Siri will be able to better understand context. For example, if a user has a recommendation mentioned in their correspondence, the system will find this information on its own, and opening additional applications will no longer be necessary.
An important part of the update is related to Google's technology. According to widespread reports, after insufficient results from its own models, Apple decided to use Google's Gemini models. However, the company states that Siri is not a copy of Google's assistant. Apple created its own models and improved them with the help of Gemini's data.
To protect data, the company uses Private Cloud Compute. This means that complex tasks are processed on Apple's secure servers in such a way that the company itself would not have access to user information. For more complex tasks, the system uses Nvidia chips on Google's servers, though only software verified by Apple operates there.
The updated Siri will be available to users as a beta version starting this fall.
