# Barclays' Forecast: Alibaba's Revenue to Grow

According to Barclays, Alibaba's shares have significant growth potential in the second half of 2026. The bank's analysts believe that China's e-commerce sector will become more active in the second half of the year, which will positively impact the company's results.

The beginning of the year was relatively weak for Alibaba, though improvements have been noted in several areas. Revenue related to consumers increased by 8 percent year-on-year, while demand for e-commerce in China has slowed. This is attributed to reduced consumer spending and the end of government subsidies.

The food delivery segment is also viewed positively, where losses are decreasing. The company's goal is to make this service profitable by 2029.

According to Barclays' assessment, if market conditions improve, Alibaba will have good opportunities for profit growth in the medium term.
