BMW revised its 2026 financial forecast, lowering its profit margin expectations for the automotive segment.

German automaker BMW updated its 2026 financial forecast on Tuesday. The company lowered its operating profit margin expectations for the automotive segment, while leaving its free cash flow forecast unchanged.

According to the updated guidance, BMW now expects an automotive segment EBIT margin of -0.5% to +0.5% for 2026. The company also revised its return on capital employed (ROCE) forecast, setting a new range of -1% to +1%.

BMW explained that the forecast adjustment is linked to the expansion of its product portfolio and structural measures. Despite these changes, the automaker still expects to generate more than €2.5 billion in free cash flow in the automotive segment in 2026.

The company forecasts a moderate decline in automotive segment deliveries in 2026. At the same time, BMW expects the share of fully electric vehicles in total deliveries to increase slightly.

For motorcycles, the company is also projecting a slight decline in deliveries.
