DHL Europe Confirms Stability of Aviation Fuel Reserves for Summer

DHL Express Europe Executive Director Statement on Aviation Fuel Supply

According to Mike Para, Executive Director of DHL Express Europe, the company has already secured the necessary aviation fuel reserves for the summer months and does not expect any disruptions to operations, despite uncertainty related to the Iran conflict.

In his conversation with Reuters, Para noted that there is currently no threat of fuel shortages in DHL's main hubs, transit centers, and cities, and the company's operations are proceeding without interruption.

According to him, over the past weeks, the aviation fuel market has stabilized relatively, which has been driven by reduced demand and increased imports to Europe from the United States, Nigeria, and South Korea.

"No fuel shortage has been recorded so far," Para stated.

According to DHL's head, the company's global logistics network and emergency plans provide the ability to effectively manage any potential local problems. If necessary, aircraft can be refueled at alternative locations, flight routes can be changed, or part of the cargo can be transported by land transport.

According to Para's assessment, the company is continuously monitoring the situation and even in the worst-case scenario, it has sufficient resources and a flexible network to maintain operational continuity.
