Google Stops Pixel Production in China

Google has decided to completely halt its own device manufacturing in China by 2027. This concerns not only Pixel smartphones, but also smartwatches and wireless earbuds. Instead, Google plans to relocate production to Vietnam and India.
Starting next year, all new Pixel models will be manufactured outside of China. The decision was facilitated by Google's successful experience with producing high-end Pixel smartphones in Vietnam, after which the company decided to accelerate the process.
Google is the second major global company to decide on relocating production from China, following Samsung Electronics.
Despite the significant increase in memory chip costs in recent months, Google forecasts 8-10% growth in Pixel sales this year. Last year, the company sold approximately 12 million smartphones.
