Lisa Cook's Lawyers: An Objective Review Will Confirm There Is No Legal Basis for Her Dismissal

According to the lawyers of U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) Governor Lisa Cook, if the hearing planned at the White House proceeds objectively, it will confirm that Cook did not commit mortgage fraud and that there is no legal basis for her removal from office.
The lawyers, Abbe Lowell and Norm Eisen, stated on Friday that they are working with the White House to assess whether the proposed process will ensure a genuine and impartial examination of the matter, or whether it is merely a formal procedure.
"Governor Cook welcomes the opportunity to present the facts, clear her name, and show that there is no legal basis for her removal," the lawyers' statement said.
The case relates to allegations of mortgage fraud brought against Lisa Cook. The purpose and outcome of the planned hearing could prove significant in determining whether Cook remains in office.
