McDonald's Seeks to Win Back Customers

McDonald's has unveiled a new strategy aimed at restoring consumer confidence and winning back lost customers. In recent years, amid rising prices, the company has begun losing a portion of its customer base, particularly in the segment most sensitive to pricing.
According to company data, between 2020 and 2024, the share of Americans who viewed McDonald's as an affordable brand declined from 55 percent to 40 percent. This is precisely why the new strategy places particular emphasis on consumers who have reduced their restaurant visits due to menu price increases.
The plan encompasses several directions. These include streamlining operational processes, improving service quality, more actively utilizing social media, and enhancing core menu products. According to company leadership, the goal is to make restaurant operations more efficient while improving the customer experience.
The new strategy will replace a program launched in 2020 that was primarily focused on driving digital sales growth. Additional details and financial forecasts will be revealed in September at an investor meeting.
