Porsche Plans Fewer Car Releases

German automaker Porsche is planning to reduce production and lay off some employees. The company states that in the coming years it will focus more on achieving higher profits rather than increasing sales volume.

The company's management is negotiating with employees about the new changes. According to the plan, Porsche will eliminate 1,900 jobs. Last year, the company had already laid off 2,000 temporary workers.

The decision is linked to a decline in profits in the first quarter of 2026. Porsche's results have been affected by international trade tariffs, geopolitical circumstances, and problems related to certain models.

The company expects to produce fewer vehicles this year compared to last year. Additionally, Porsche plans to deepen its collaboration with Audi, while continuing to sell models from the 718 series.
