Revolut's valuation has reached $115 billion

Revolut has become Europe's most valuable startup. In private transactions, the company's valuation has reached $115 billion, surpassing the market value of Barclays and France's Societe Generale.
The company started operating more than ten years ago, offering customers relatively cheap currency exchange services. Revolut is now working on obtaining banking licenses in various countries and expanding its operations into new markets, including Mexico and Australia. The company wants to offer banking services in as many countries as possible.
In 2025, Revolut posted a pre-tax profit of £1.7 billion, or $2.2 billion. Barclays' comparable figure was £9 billion, though Revolut's results are growing faster.
The company still faces several challenges. Revenue per customer is smaller compared to traditional banks, and its lending business is still limited in scale. In the US, Revolut has only temporary authorization and will need to establish itself in a much more competitive market.
