Taiwan Stock Market Declined - Energy and Plastics Sectors Pressured the Index

Taiwan's stock market closed in negative territory on Monday. The country's main index, Taiwan Weighted, declined by 1.33%, primarily due to losses recorded in the energy and plastics sectors.
The best performance of the day was shown by King Core Electronics, whose shares rose by nearly 10% and reached a historical maximum. Shares of Shin Zu Shing and Hocheng also strengthened significantly.
On the other hand, the largest declines were experienced by Space Shuttle Hi-Tech, Gigastorage, and Transcend Information shares, which fell by approximately 10%.
On commodity markets, oil price increases continued. WTI crude rose by 4.3%, while Brent increased by 4.6%. Meanwhile, gold futures declined by more than 1%.
