Tesla Receives Permission to Use Autonomous Driving System in Belgium

Tesla has been granted permission to use its Full Self-Driving program in Belgium. This means the company will be able to deploy autonomous driving systems operating under supervision in the country.

The permit was signed by Anik de Ridder, the Transport Minister of Flanders. He published information about the decision on social media platform X and shared a photo of the official document. The permit was issued following several successful tests conducted in Belgium.

According to Belgian regulations, if a permit is issued in one region, it applies to the entire territory of the country. Accordingly, Tesla's system usage will not be limited to Flanders alone.

With this decision, Belgium has become the third EU country to grant Tesla permission to use Full Self-Driving. Previously, similar permits were issued in the Netherlands and Lithuania.
