Trump will make a decision on new sanctions against Russia within 60 days

Trump has temporarily suspended the implementation of the sanctions and tariffs provided for under the Graham Act. Over the next 60 days, the US administration will study what effect these measures could have on the economy, after which the president will decide whether they will take effect.
The law provides for additional tariffs on Russian goods and measures against countries that purchase Russian oil and gas. The restrictions were due to take effect next week. According to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, one of the most difficult cases is India, since the country is simultaneously an important partner of the US and a major buyer of Russian oil.
The decision was made against the backdrop of high energy prices and disruptions in oil product supplies caused by the war with Iran. At the same time, the US and Russia also agreed to increase diesel supplies. In the first stage, the US will receive more than 300,000 tons of Russian diesel.
The postponement of new measures against Russia has drawn criticism from Ukraine and some American lawmakers.
