Trump-Associated Crypto Company Collaborates with Chinese Artificial Intelligence Startup

President Donald Trump-backed crypto company World Liberty Financial has launched a partnership with Hong Kong-based artificial intelligence startup WorldClaw. The agreement has drawn attention because WorldClaw provides users access to Chinese AI models that the U.S. government considers a national security risk.
Under the collaboration, World Liberty's stablecoin USD1 is used on WorldClaw's platform to pay for access to artificial intelligence models. World Liberty and WorldClaw are also connected through Ryan Fang. He is one of World Liberty's executives and holds an advisory position at WorldClaw. Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, the sons of Donald Trump, are also participating in promoting the project.
The WorldClaw platform provides access to 90 artificial intelligence models, 43 of which were created by Chinese companies, including Alibaba, Baidu, and Z.ai. The platform also features models from OpenAI and Anthropic.
Security-related concerns arose particularly after Z.ai was added to the U.S. Department of Commerce's list of sanctioned companies in 2025. Earlier this year, the Pentagon named Alibaba and Baidu among Chinese companies with which the U.S. Department of Defense is prohibited from collaborating.
According to David Wochsman, a representative of World Liberty, WorldClaw is an independent company, and offering both Chinese and American AI models on a single platform is a common practice in the technology industry.
For now, it remains unclear what financial benefit the Trump family receives from this collaboration, as the terms of the agreement between the parties have not been made public.
