US Stock Futures Rise - Investors Watch Tech Earnings and AI Sector

U.S. Stock Index Futures Rise as Semiconductor Sector Recovers
U.S. stock index futures rose on Tuesday as shares in the semiconductor sector began to recover following recent declines. However, investors remain cautious, as a similar rally attempt was recorded in the previous trading session, only for markets to close lower by day's end.
Against the backdrop of sparse trading data and a limited communication period from the Federal Reserve (Fed), the primary market driver this week will be second-quarter earnings reports.
As of 08:35 ET, S&P 500 futures were up 0.4%, Nasdaq 100 futures gained 1.2%, and Dow Jones futures rose 0.2%.
In the previous session, Wall Street's major indices declined, primarily driven by emerging concerns about the sustainability of large investments in the artificial intelligence sector. Semiconductor manufacturers—companies that form the foundation of AI infrastructure—were particularly hard hit.
The semiconductor index ultimately closed with only a 0.6% gain, despite advancing more than 3% during the trading day. Investor sentiment was also affected by the strengthening of Chinese companies that compete with leading U.S. AI models.
This week will receive particular attention from the earnings reports of technology giants, including Alphabet and Texas Instruments, whose results will provide investors with additional information on the pace of AI sector development and infrastructure spending.
On Tuesday, quarterly results will be released by companies such as General Motors, Danaher, and Charles Schwab. Throughout the week, earnings will also be published by Philip Morris International, Moody's, CME Group, and other companies.
