Anthropic Signs $45 Billion Deal with Nscale

Anthropic has signed a six-year, $45 billion deal with Nscale. The company will use the capacity of Nscale's data center in West Virginia to run its own artificial intelligence models.

Nscale will use Nvidia's Vera Rubin chips for Anthropic. The agreement covers approximately 460 megawatts of capacity, which corresponds to the simultaneous electricity supply of about 345 thousand American homes.

Anthropic has been actively continuing to sign similar large-scale deals in recent months. The company already has a $50 billion agreement with Fluidstack, a $10 billion deal with Volta Infra Holdings, and a $45 billion deal with SpaceX.

Nscale's West Virginia project will ultimately include three buildings, with total capacity reaching 1.35 gigawatts. Building the entire complex and setting up an on-site power plant will cost approximately $71 billion, of which $47 billion will be spent on chips needed for artificial intelligence.
