Apple Complains to British Government

Apple has filed a lawsuit against the British government. The dispute began after the UK government requested that Apple provide access to encrypted data of British users.

The British government states that such access to information is necessary for law enforcement agencies to combat terrorism, serious crimes, and violence against children.

Apple opposes the request and states that unlocking encrypted data would compromise the security of all users.

According to the company's statement, it has never created a way to bypass its own product protection systems and will not do so in the future.

Last year, the British government withdrew a similar request following negotiations with the US administration. At that time, the request also concerned American users' data, while the new directive applies only to British users.
