Apple Considers Using Chinese Memory Chips

The rapid development of artificial intelligence has sharply increased demand for memory chips and created a shortage in the market. Consequently, Apple is seeking new suppliers. According to the Wall Street Journal, the company is already testing chips from Chinese manufacturer CXMT, which could potentially be used in future iPhones and MacBooks.

The negotiations are still in their early stages. According to available information, Apple would likely use Chinese chips only in devices intended for the Chinese market.

CXMT is one of China's largest memory chip manufacturers. Due to component shortages, its products are already being used by HP and Acer in laptops sold outside the United States.

At the same time, CXMT plans to increase production and is considering building a second factory in Beijing. Apple and CXMT have not yet made any official announcement regarding potential cooperation.
