The US Senate blocked the crypto market regulation bill.

The US Senate did not vote to advance debate on the CLARITY Act. The bill provides for the creation of a unified regulatory framework for digital assets, and its passage would have been one of the most significant legislative changes for the American crypto industry.
In the procedural vote, 49 senators supported the bill, while 50 voted against it. Sixty votes were needed to continue the debate.
The bill was meant to define how oversight of digital assets is divided between the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Agreement on the issue has been hindered for several months by disagreements over rules concerning stablecoins, the banking sector, and public officials' crypto assets.
