Chime Considers Adding Stablecoins to Its Banking App

Chime Financial is considering adding stablecoins to its banking application. According to Bloomberg, the company is working on a service that would allow users to send and receive stablecoins directly from the Chime app.
In late spring, Chime asked several blockchain companies to submit proposals related to stablecoin wallets. Among them was the startup Rain.
If the project is implemented, users will be able to send and receive stablecoins directly in the Chime app without using a separate cryptocurrency exchange.
Interest in stablecoins is also growing in the traditional financial sector. Their value is typically pegged to the US dollar, while the ability to execute transactions quickly and at any time is considered one of their main advantages.
