Halliburton is expanding its work on oil and gas projects in Venezuela

American company Halliburton has signed cooperation agreements with Brazilian energy company Eneva and WESCA on oil and gas projects in Venezuela. The decision coincides with growing interest from foreign energy companies in the country.
Together with Eneva, Halliburton is exploring opportunities for new energy projects in Venezuela. The companies also cooperate in Brazil. The agreement with WESCA concerns field studies and development planning.
Halliburton has been operating in Venezuela for nearly nine decades and has its own infrastructure in the country. Interest in Venezuela's energy sector has grown significantly this year. Several major companies in the sector are already preparing new projects. Continental Resources signed agreements with state-owned PDVSA, while Chevron announced it will spend $7 billion on joint projects in Venezuela. ExxonMobil is also considering the possibility of returning to the country.
