According to Musk, artificial intelligence will become SpaceX's main source of revenue from September

According to Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, artificial intelligence will become the company's primary revenue source starting in September. During a meeting with employees, he also stated that within four to five years, artificial intelligence could potentially provide 99% of SpaceX's revenue.

SpaceX's AI business has grown significantly since the company acquired xAI, founded by Musk, earlier this year. This includes Grok, the social network X, and data centers. Meanwhile, SpaceX continues its traditional operations, launching rockets and developing Starlink's satellite internet.

In the second quarter, SpaceX's revenue reached $7.8 billion. Of this, $4.3 billion came from Starlink, while approximately $2.6 billion came from the AI direction.

According to Musk, SpaceX plans to expand the data centers needed for artificial intelligence. By the end of the year, their total capacity will reach 2 gigawatts, and by the end of 2027, it is expected to grow to approximately 10 gigawatts.

In the future, SpaceX is considering placing data centers in orbit, for which Starship is planned to be used. The project is currently in an early stage of development, and the timeline for its implementation is unknown.
