Microsoft Introduces New Virtual Assistant Scout

Microsoft has introduced a new virtual assistant called Scout, designed to help companies organize their daily operations. Its main distinction is that the system will not be a tool tied to a single user, but will operate as a separate work unit within the organization.
Scout was unveiled at a conference in San Francisco. It differs from other Microsoft tools, including Copilot, in that it will have its own profile within the organization's internal systems. The assistant will appear in email, calendar, and other work spaces, allowing employees to interact with it directly. Scout will be able to manage meeting schedules, answer employee questions, and perform other daily tasks. According to Charles Lamanna, a Microsoft representative, multiple team members can use the assistant simultaneously, making it a shared work resource. Initially, Scout will be available to GitHub Copilot subscribers, while in the future its pricing will depend on usage volume. Microsoft is working in this direction to more actively integrate artificial intelligence systems into work processes and make them part of standard software packages.
