Nvidia is in talks over Reflection AI

Nvidia is in talks with artificial intelligence startup Reflection AI. The chipmaker may increase its stake in the company or acquire Reflection AI entirely.
Another option is also being considered: some of Reflection AI's employees would move to Nvidia, while the company would license its technology. In this scenario, Nvidia would no longer need to fully acquire Reflection AI, which would also reduce the risk of a lengthy review by regulators. The talks are still at an early stage, and no final agreement has been reached.
Nvidia is already one of Reflection AI's main investors, having invested roughly $800 million in the startup. The company was founded in 2024 by former Google DeepMind researchers, and its main focus is coding automation.
A few days ago, Reflection AI unveiled its first open model, Beam. The company is working on systems capable of independently completing coding tasks. Its competitors in this space are DeepSeek and Kimi.
