**South Korea's exports nearly doubled in October**

South Korea's exports rose 93.7% year-on-year in October, reaching a record $115.28 billion. This is the fastest growth since January 1974.
The main driver was strong demand for semiconductors. Chip exports grew 259.4% to $56.44 billion. Computer exports nearly sextupled, driven by demand for AI servers and tech companies' construction of new data centers.
Exports to China rose 133.6%, to the US 185.8%, and to Europe 56.4%.
From January through October, South Korea's exports reached $930 billion. The government expects the annual figure to surpass $1 trillion as early as November. To date, only the US, China and Germany have crossed this threshold.
