Securitize has launched trading of digital versions of Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft shares

Digital assets company Securitize is offering customers tokenized versions of Apple, Nvidia, and Microsoft shares. Each such token is backed by a real share, and trading will initially be possible on the Solana blockchain.

According to the company, investors will also retain the core rights that come with holding ordinary shares, including dividends and the right to participate in shareholder voting. This is precisely what distinguishes Securitize's model from many other tokenized products, which do not represent actual share ownership.

Initially, trading in these shares will be possible for longer than regular exchange hours. Later, Securitize plans to open trading 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service will be available to investors in the US, the EU, and other countries where this is permitted, provided they meet the relevant requirements.

Securitize also suggests that in the future these shares may appear on the New York Stock Exchange's planned overnight trading platform. Separately, crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange are also working on building similar platforms.
