US Futures Slightly Strengthen Ahead of Employment Report

US stock index futures remained nearly flat on Friday as investors carefully awaited the July Nonfarm Payrolls report, which could contain significant clues about the Federal Reserve's future interest rate policy.
The market expects that in July, the US economy created 85,000 new jobs, which exceeds June's 57,000, though it still remains below the second quarter average. The unemployment rate is expected to hold at 4.2%.
