Amazon Plans $3 Billion Investment in India's Quick Delivery Business

Amazon plans to invest $3 billion in expanding its quick-commerce business in India by 2030.

Amazon Now offers customers delivery of everyday products within minutes. The company will allocate part of the funds to opening small warehouses near residential areas, expanding its product range, and improving inventory management systems. Amazon will also use artificial intelligence to better forecast demand.

Amazon currently holds only a 6.2% share of India's quick-commerce market. Blinkit, Swiggy and Zepto together control 77% of the market. Amazon has around 750 facilities and plans to increase this number to 1,300 by April next year.

The company has not officially confirmed the size of the planned investment. According to Amazon, if Amazon Now's sales maintain the pace of the past three months, they will exceed $1 billion annually.
