Google's Gemma model downloads exceeded 1 billion

Google's artificial intelligence model Gemma has been downloaded more than 1 billion times since its release. According to the company, over the past two years, programmers have created more than 100,000 different versions of Gemma.
Gemma is already being used in space. NASA, Satlyt, and Starcloud use the model to analyze images from satellites and manage communications between satellites.
The technology has been implemented in India's Aarogya Setu 2.0 application, which has more than 100 million downloads on Android. Gemma 4 processes medical reports in a unified digital format, helping users store health information and share it with various medical institutions.
Gemma is also used in research projects. Researchers from Yale and Google created a model based on it that identified a new potential approach to treating cancer, and the results obtained were also confirmed by research conducted on living cells.
Google has also created Awesome Gemma, where Gemma-related projects, educational materials, and tools for programmers are consolidated.
